Important Notice

Tshepo and Palesa are AI-powered digital assistants. They are not licensed financial advisors, insurance brokers, or intermediaries. They do not provide financial advice as defined by the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS), 2002.

1. About Our Digital Assistants

1.1 Who Are Tshepo and Palesa?

Tshepo and Palesa are AI-powered digital characters ("Digital Assistants") created by KasiSure to help users navigate insurance product information and generate indicative quotes. They are fictional personas designed to provide a friendly, conversational experience.

  • Tshepo (meaning "Trust" in Setswana) — Male Digital Assistant
  • Palesa (meaning "Flower" in Sesotho) — Female Digital Assistant

Both characters use pre-programmed conversational flows and fixed rate tables to guide users through the quoting process. They do not use generative AI to formulate insurance recommendations.

1.2 What They Do

  • Collect information required to generate an indicative insurance quote
  • Present KasiSure product options and cover amounts based on fixed rate tables
  • Calculate estimated monthly premiums based on selected cover amounts
  • Guide users through a structured quoting process

1.3 What They Do NOT Do

  • Provide financial advice or personal insurance recommendations
  • Assess your individual financial needs or risk profile
  • Guarantee cover, premiums, or policy issuance
  • Act as financial advisors, brokers, or intermediaries
  • Replace the need for professional financial advice
  • Bind KasiSure or any insurer to any contract or obligation

2. Nature of Quotes

All quotes generated by Tshepo or Palesa are:

  • Indicative only — they are not offers, guarantees, or binding commitments
  • Subject to underwriting — final premiums and cover may differ after underwriting assessment
  • Based on information provided — accuracy depends on the correctness and completeness of information you supply
  • Valid at time of generation — quotes may expire and rates may change without notice

3. No Financial Advice

In accordance with the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act 37 of 2002 (FAIS), interactions with Tshepo and Palesa do not constitute financial advice. The information presented is general product information only. You should consider seeking independent professional financial advice before making any insurance decisions.

4. Data Collection

During your interaction with our Digital Assistants, the following information may be collected:

  • Personal information (name, surname, ID number, contact details)
  • Property information (address, type, construction details, security features)
  • Vehicle information (where applicable)
  • Cover preferences and selections

This information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Information collected during the quoting process may be stored locally on your device and used to pre-populate your application should you choose to proceed with registration.

5. Acceptable Use of Digital Assistants

When interacting with Tshepo and Palesa, you agree to:

  • Provide truthful and accurate information
  • Use the service for its intended purpose of obtaining insurance quotes
  • Treat the interaction respectfully — while Tshepo and Palesa are digital characters, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or harassing language directed at them or through them is prohibited
  • Not attempt to manipulate, exploit, or misuse the Digital Assistants
  • Not use the service to generate fraudulent quotes or supply false information

KasiSure reserves the right to restrict or terminate access for any user who violates these acceptable use guidelines. See Section 21 of our Terms of Service for full details.

6. Limitations and Liability

  • KasiSure makes no warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of information provided by Digital Assistants
  • Interactions with Digital Assistants do not create a client-advisor relationship
  • KasiSure shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information provided by Digital Assistants
  • Technical issues, downtime, or errors in the Digital Assistants do not give rise to any claim against KasiSure

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Choose not to interact with the Digital Assistants and instead contact our human support team
  • Request that your data collected during the interaction be deleted, in accordance with POPIA
  • Lodge a complaint regarding the Digital Assistants by contacting us at the details below

8. Updates to This Disclosure

We may update this disclosure from time to time to reflect changes in our Digital Assistants, applicable laws, or our practices. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this disclosure periodically.
